Socio-demographic and clinical correlates of parenting style among parents having ADHD children: a cross-section study

Abstract Background ADHD affects 7.8% of the school-aged population, making it one most common childhood brain illnesses. It is characterized by abnormally high levels inattention, activity, and impulsivity at a young age. Being parent child with real challenge, as parents tend to be more disapproving, critical, provide impulse control directions; such parenting style can have an impact on illnesses course, accentuate its signs symptoms, lead secondary development co-morbid psychiatric behavioral problems. This makes parent-child effect matter clinical importance that needs carefully assessed managed. We aimed estimate sociodemographic correlates attitudes among having children. cross-sectional study included 48 children from both sexes, aged 6 12 years old, their parents. In our study, we applied Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale 5th edition, Conner’s Parent Rating Scale-revised, perceived questionnaire, Fahmy El-Sherbini questionnaire for measurement socioeconomic status.
